Suppressors and the NFA

Fascinating.

No price for the ammo listed, but as expected, it is mentioned that it is expensive. But it also demonstrates an absurdity of US law. Though this pistol could likely, technically be imported without too many hurdles, each round of ammo would be considered a suppression device and would need to be registered with the BATFE and subject to the payment of a $200 tax. And yet we are constantly subjected to inane noise ordinances at the local level in North Carolina (and I’m sure most other states). So isn’t time we push government at all levels to get their flippin’ act together and remove noise reduction devices from the NFA restricted list? We do, after all, *require* mufflers on cars. Why not guns?
